Tech company Gander has announced a service partnership agreement with C-Store Collective, a prominent player in the convenience and forecourt sector.
Gander’s platform was designed to tackle food waste and transform consumer spending habits. Since its launch in 2019, the platform has expanded its reach across the UK and Australia, with plans for further expansion underway.
The technology seamlessly integrates with retailers’ Point of Sale (PoS) systems, allowing them to showcase reduced-to-clear food items to shoppers in real-time. This automation helps retailers optimize their inventory management and reduce waste.
One of Gander’s key offerings is its proprietary analytics platform, Ganderlytics, which provides companies with comprehensive insights into various aspects of wastage, including reduced-to-clear stock, wastage patterns, store compliance, redistribution strategies, and customer engagement metrics.
Damien Corcoran, Chief Operating Officer at Gander, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership with C-Store Collective, highlighting the latter’s industry expertise and strategic insights into the convenience store sector. Corcoran emphasized Gander’s role in leveraging technology to drive sales, footfall, and profitability while also contributing to environmental sustainability efforts by reducing food waste.
Jonathan Rons, Co-Founder of C-Store Collective, echoed Corcoran’s sentiments, emphasizing the value of Gander’s solution in promoting sustainability and reducing food waste. Rons highlighted Ganderlytics as a powerful analytical tool that enables retailers to track their performance in selling reduced food items. She noted that partnering with Gander has significantly improved their sell-through rate and reduced food waste. Thanks to strategic guidance from C-Store Collective and the implementation of Gander’s technology, Pricewatch has seen notable improvements in operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and environmental impact.
Overall, the partnership between Gander and C-Store Collective aims to drive efficiency, profitability, and sustainability within the convenience store sector, ultimately benefiting retailers, shoppers, and the planet alike.
